Frequently Asked Questions

How much does hob or extractor cleaning cost in Newcastle?
Hob is £20 and extractor is £35 when added to an oven clean. Standalone hob-only or extractor-only visits are quoted individually — typically £45–70 — because they involve a separate trip.
Can you clean induction hobs?
Yes. Induction and ceramic hobs are cleaned with specialist non-scratch products only — no abrasives, no steel wool. Standard £20 add-on for the hob.
Do you clean inside the gas burners?
Yes. Burner caps and heads are removed and cleaned individually, including the flame ports where residue builds up.
Do you replace charcoal filters in extractors?
I can fit new charcoal filters if you provide them. I don't carry universal stock because they vary so much by make and model — order the correct replacement online before the appointment and I'll fit it during the visit.
Will the hob smell of cleaning products afterwards?
No. The hob is thoroughly rinsed and wiped clean with fresh water before I finish. Ready to use as soon as I leave.
How often should the extractor filters be cleaned?
Heavy cook households every 6 months. Average use every 12 months. Don't let it go beyond 18 months — clogged filters are a real fire risk and push grease back into the kitchen.
