What's included
A double oven takes roughly twice the work of a single — two cavities, two sets of racks, two door systems, and usually a separate grill element. Each visit:
- Main oven cavity — roof, sides, floor, back wall
- Top oven / grill cavity — heating element, racks, floor
- Both sets of racks — removed and cleaned individually
- Both doors — inside and outside glass, including the trapped inner pane
- Door seals and hinges inspected
- Control knobs and exterior fronts
Built-in tall housings — common in Newcastle Great Park, Gosforth, Darras Hall
Most newer Newcastle kitchens have a built-in tall housing with a main oven and combi grill above. These trap grease in hard-to-reach spots between cavities and around the housing frame. I dismantle and reassemble where needed — that's standard practice on this kind of installation.
The process
Both cavities get the same full treatment — racks and removable parts cleaned individually, the interiors brushed, scrubbed, rinsed and polished. Every surface rinsed with fresh water before I leave. Ready to use as soon as I'm done.
